After hanging up his Akubra, moving back to WA and choosing to pursue Farming as a hobby. Tom began offering his skillset to SMB's around Perth.  

It was a very slow start, turning a small profit in FY24. Followed by slow, steady growth in FY25. Now, with happy customers & revenue's growing. Tom plans to standardise & scale his Core Service Offering in FY26.

Throughout the 2 years as a freelancer, Tom's Approach, Experience & Standardised-processes have evolved into quite a high-value skillset. A skillset that all businesses increasingly have a need for, but most SMB's simply lack the staff or the dedicated know-how.

Larger businesses that do have dedicated Data-Analysts, are often lacking capacity or not practicing the simple-approach that Our Clients Appreciate.

Note, Dedicated Automation & AI expertise is still niche, but a growing part of What We Offer.

To begin the engagement process, we conduct Intro's & Discovery takes 30-60 mins. Via Teams or Coffee chat (Perth).

Discussion about the customer journey & a quick confirmation of org-chart, departments/functions.

Following that, if everyone thinks it makes sense, a morning visit is scheduled (2-5hrs).

The in-person visit consists of multiple short, Ad-Hoc meetings with different members of staff.

We mostly listen here, trying to conceptualise the Workflows & Dataflows within the Business.

Following the visit, we;

1. Present you with a list of projects that we consider worth everyone's time.
2. Request & Receive Sample Datasets, To Build a draft Dashboard or Report.
3. Build 1-2 Simple Email Trigger Type Automations. And explain the concepts behind them.

Then if you'd like our help to continue automating & analysing, we can do so with a no-lock-in monthly retainer.
